Hi, I’m Lindsey — the maker, artist and slightly chaotic creative behind Wilks Studio, based in the North East of England.

Wilks began in 2021 as a home fragrance business, but over the years it’s grown right alongside me. What started with candles and wax melts has gradually become handmade candle vessels, eco-resin homeware, illustration, stickers, journals, paper goods and an ever-growing list of creative ideas I can’t resist trying. 😂

I still absolutely love pouring candles and creating beautiful home fragrance, but I’ve realised that what I love most is simply making — learning new techniques, experimenting with ideas and turning something that started in my head into something you can hold in your hands.

That’s why Wilks Candle Creations became Wilks Studio: to give all of that creativity somewhere to belong.

Everything here is created in small batches with plenty of thought, care and personality, and I’ll always choose taking the time to make something I’m proud of over rushing something just to get it onto the website.

Behind the scenes, I’m also a wife and mam of two autistic girls, and this little business has always been built around creating a working life that fits around our family and their needs.
